Space Planning

Starcom's Space Master^tm module ensures you are maximizing your space as you schedule production.

Create areas (i.e. greenhouses, fields, parking lots) you use for holding product using the graphical space layout function. Enter the capacity of each area. Each area can have a certain capacity of several types of space. For example, in one area you may have both bench space and hanging rod space. Space can be measured in square feet (i.e. bench and floor), linear feet (i.e. hanging rods and field rows) or fixed units (i.e drip tubes).

Space Master^tm keeps track of the environmental requirements to produce each product and which areas can meet these requirements. Space Master^tm lets you prioritize the types of space you prefer to use for each product or designate product to always be placed in specific areas. Space Master^tm handles multiple spacings of potted product.

As you enter your production goals into Plant Partner^tm Production, Space Master^tm automatically allocates the appropriate space to accommodate your schedule. You'll know instantaneously whether your plan over extends your spacing capacity or if you have unused space available.

Adjust ready dates, the spacing of potted crops and goals to get the most out of your space.

Once you have completed your plan. Plant Partner^tm Production shows greenhouse staff where to place product as they sow and transplant. Space Master also generates move reports to show you when and where product must be moved to maintain the plan.

For any given week, Space Master^tm will graphically display the products located in each area.
